Pest Control & IPM
Cockroaches
Cockroaches are resilient, fast-breeding insects that carry diseases and allergens. They thrive wherever there is food and moisture, which is why control depends on both treatment and sound sanitation.
How cockroaches are treated
We combine chemical and non-chemical treatments - baits, residual sprays and insect growth regulators - tailored to the specific species, the extent of the infestation and the environment.
Difficult species such as the German Cockroach need long-term treatment plans and repeat visits to break the breeding cycle. Regular inspections keep them gone for good.
Prevention you can put in place
Store food in airtight containers and clean spills and crumbs promptly.
Empty and clean bins regularly and keep them tightly sealed.
Fix leaks and damp areas to remove water sources.
Sanitise kitchen and bathroom surfaces regularly.
Seal cracks and crevices in walls, floors and windows.

Health risks
- Allergens from cockroach saliva, droppings and shed skins can trigger asthma and allergies - a particular risk for children.
- They are linked to the spread of Salmonella and E. coli, and to illnesses such as dysentery, typhoid and cholera.
- Cockroaches have been implicated in spreading more than 30 kinds of bacteria and several human pathogens.
