Pest Control & IPM
Borers
Borers are wood-boring beetles common in coastal Tanzania. In their larval stage they tunnel through untreated timber - floorboards, joists and weatherboards - leaving neat round exit holes and causing structural damage and economic loss.
How borers are treated
Borers lay eggs on timber and the larvae burrow into untreated wood, eating and tunnelling until they emerge as adult beetles.
As soon as you see signs of activity we recommend immediate treatment to prevent further damage. Contact us if you suspect wood borers in your home or business.
